Position Summary
The Advisor Insurance Solutions Center (AIS Center) Director of Sales Operations support is primarily responsible for the management and development of Case Managers while providing operational analysis and consulting to improve the Financial Advisor’s ability to refer and route business through the AIS Center. You will have direct responsibility to hire, train and manager a team of Case Managers working in a Mutli-Carrier distribution model. You would also be responsible for managing relationships with our Financial Advisors and Sales Team as well as ensuring efficiency with the process flow among IT, Commissions,
Underwriting and Case Management. You will also have the opportunity to conduct high level business reporting that illustrates the value add to AIG Life and Retirement.
Organization Structure
This position will report to the Vice President of Sales Operations and will require significant interaction with the Financial Advisors, DVP’s, RLS’s, Internal Wholesalers and other functional areas including IT, Commissions, Underwriting, New Business, Licensing and Case Management
Performance Objectives
• Hire, train and develop multi-carrier Case Managers with exceptional customer service capabilities and working knowledge of a mutli-carrier BGA model serving our Financial Advisor distribution.
• Improve and set standards for the time it takes for cases moving through the AIS Center pipeline.
• Complete external communications (Agendas, Recommendations, Action Plans), internal stakeholder updates and sharing of customer feedback with appropriate senior leadership teams within the AIS Center .
• Track and quantify the changes and improvements in distribution and AIS Center performance and be able to demonstrate effectiveness through increased sales, placement, technology adoption, quality of the business received, customer satisfaction and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Maintain a strong breadth of operational knowledge and be able to effectively communicate the AIS Center service messages to our customers.
• Information Gathering, Observation, Interviewing, Analysis, Recommendation Development And Execution Of Action Plans In Order To Align Customer Needs With Operational Support. The Ideal Candidate Should Have
We are looking for a seasoned generalist with 5+ years of experience within the AIS Center distribution channel. Extensive knowledge in Life and Accident & Health (A&H) Sales, Products and Operations is critical to be successful as well as the following:
• Experience with sales compensation, contracting and licensing in a home office or BGA strongly preferred.
• Proven skills in relationship building and persuasion to represent Life and A&H in the field.
• A working understanding of all Sales and Operational functions including Underwriting, New Business, Licensing and Commissions, and Customer Services Department.
• A strong understanding of service and technology offerings in the industry.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts and to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Broad, creative, and innovating thinking and the ability to gather extensive amounts of information and synthesize them in concise reports and presentations.
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
• Ability to diagnose issues, work with the appropriate areas to get them solved and develop creative ways to serve our customers.
• A Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Business, MBA preferred.
