Job description
The Senior Director for Content Mobility, Big Data and Data Protection Product Marketing leads the PMM team and collaborates with product management and sales to drive the Go-To-Market strategy and execution of the HDS’ fast growing Content Mobility, Big Data and Data Protection portfolio, including object store, file sync and share, content search, big data analytics, and a broad range of data protection solutions. Responsibilities include: • Defines overall marketing strategy for Hitachi’s Content Mobility, Big Data and Data Protection portfolio
• Leads team of PMM professionals to ensure the successful execution of product marketing strategy to support business objectives • Defines and leads major launches and marketing initiatives • Acts as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business • Drives strategic direction of the portfolio and alignment with product and sales teams • Serves as key thought leader and presents at key industry and customer events as spokes-person for the portfolio All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, place of origin, ethnic origin, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, transgender status, genetic information, mental or physical disability, marital status, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable national, state, or local law.
Qualifications Primary Qualifications • The ideal candidate has over 15 years of experience in product marketing and/or product management with in-depth subject matter expertise on object storage, content mobility, search, big data analytics, Data Protection and the various cloud deployment and consumption models • Must be an innovative thinker with a proven track record of building market presence, amplifying messaging and achieving substantial mind share in a dynamic market place • Must demonstrate ability to accelerate business with disruptive marketing strategy and tactics • Must be willing to take risks and challenge status quo • Must possess strong leadership and communications skills • Must be able to work in a collaborative cross-functional team environment with the ability to build team support and common objectives in order to drive projects forward • A four-year university degree; an advanced degree in business/marketing/technology is strongly preferred • Travel is required, both domestic and international; on average travel will range from 25% - 30%. • Local to Boston, the California Bay Area or Denver is preferred
