Job description
PNC is seeking an established Corporates Syndicate Director/Managing Director. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships and technical expertise in helping to bring clients new issue debt to market. This professional position will be expected to have strong communication skills to serve as a liaison between the sales / trading team, Investment Bankers and clients. The position can be located in New York City or Pittsburgh.
Essential Responsibilities Will Include
• Develop and implement marketing and product strategies.
• Handle all aspects of client relationships with minimal supervision; develop and maintain client relationships.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of deal flow and market development, including how competitors’ deals have been received in the market.
• Make key contacts and maintain relationships with clients. This is a revenue generating and client facing position.
• Evaluate opportunities and strategies that optimize performance relative to market conditions.
• Establish new clients using prospecting skills.
• Stay current with industry trends, investment and economic issues, new technical and business knowledge to ensure that employees are informed and challenged to continue skill development.
Qualifications
Candidates will have the following qualifications and be placed in either a Director or Managing Director based on their experience and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics or other related field. MBA or Master’s degree in related discipline is preferred.
• At least 5 years in banking, a finance corporation or broker/dealer. Experience in syndications is strongly preferred.
• Series 7 and 63 licenses required, (may be obtained within 120 days post hire). Series 24 may be required post hire.
• Ability to provide issuers market updates and ideas is required.
• Must have strong communication skills and work well in a team environment.
• Must have strong analytical and computer skills.
• Influence and Negotiating skills required.
• Leadership experience is preferred.
