Job description
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Contributes to the development and execution of people resource strategies in assigned value streams according to our Trek Values;
Develops, Implements, and sustains lean manufacturing practices
Contributes to manufacturing operational strategies by providing information, analysis, and recommendations to peer group & senior management
Establishes functional objectives to support organizational objectives
Establishes a manufacturing operational strategy for value stream by evaluating manufacturing trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies
Develops financial strategy for operations through;
Forecasting of manufacturing requirements for assigned areas
Resource allocation and line capacity
Measurement and analysis of results
Developing necessary countermeasures
Minimizing variances
Development of annual profit plan
Monthly and quarterly reporting
Audits production output for compliance to customer requirements.

Position reports to our Vice President Operations
Direct Reports will include Operations Managers and/or Group Leaders
Preferred advanced degree either technical or MBA
Expected Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience in managing manufacturing operations and people development and 5 years demonstrated experience in continuous improvement.
In-depth knowledge and application of manufacturing best practices – Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping.

Strong leadership and organizational skills to facilitate activities of Production Team and Engineers.
Strong interpersonal skills to develop teamwork with subordinates and peers
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence people at all levels in the organization
Demonstrated ability to influence desired outcomes through both direct and indirect resources, being seen as a consensus builder
Proven track record with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience with carbon manufacturing best practices is preferred
Must be proficient within Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Proficiency with Business Intelligence software that integrates with Microsoft Excel for Financial Planning
Has proficienct ERP Knowledge in modules of: Shop Floor, MRP, MPS, PDM, PDP, Inventory Mgmt, Demand and Supply Planning, Scanning Software
JDEdwards ERP specific experience is a plus
APICS and Supply Chain certifications are considered assets
Ability to communicate and work with multiple plants as supplier
