Job description
Concur is seeking a Social Media Specialist, Community Management, who can balance the daily conversations happening in Concur social media channels, assure all inbound questions and comments are appropriately managed, and assist customers with the social-to-support process. The ideal candidate should be outgoing, personable, exercise sound judgement in the moment, a strong problem solver and a person who can keep tabs on our most engaged audience members – rewarding them when necessary.
Impeccable grammar, spelling and command of the English language are non-negotiable. He or she must also thrive under pressure, keep inbound activity in perspective, and have the ability to stay positive in the face of sometimes difficult scenarios.

This is a gateway role to growth in the social media discipline at Concur. This role will work closely with other social media managers and marketers to implement marketing content strategies and execute on the influencer marketing plan. This candidate will also work closely with our Voice of the Customer team to maintain strong ties across all communities – whether social media or otherwise. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of social norms and graces, and build long and enduring relationships with everyone from customers to press and analysts. A sense of humor helps.

The director of social media at Concur is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the social media function and leading a team to execute that vision. The role oversees a team of marketers as well as a cross-functional group of contributors to the social strategy; a book of agencies, tools and vendors; the media content and advertising budget; as well as reporting and analysis of social media performance. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is well-versed in social media practices, and will also have significant experience in all aspects of digital media – including but not limited to online advertising, search marketing, web asset creation and web analytics.

Responsibilities:
Develops, delivers and leads corporate social media strategy including;
Leads and develops a team to execute best-in-class social media
Oversees audience engagement and relationship building with influencers in all social channels;
Ensures company reputation is reflected accurately through social channels – partnering with PR
Collaborates with marketing leadership to build strategies for compelling content;
Develops comprehensive social media reporting and measurement standards;
Develops, socializes and upholds global governance of Concur’s social media policies and procedures;
Ensures the company is up-to-date in social media trends and ensures our approach is leading in the industry;
Partners with stakeholders throughout the company to define business unit social media needs and goals.
Oversees paid social advertising and budget;
Selection and management of agencies, tools and vendors
Qualifications:
BA/BS or equivalent, masters desired
Minimum 4+ years managed and leading teams
Minimum 6+ years social media experience; experience with both paid and organic social media
Ability to hire develop and reward great people at multiple skill levels
Skills & Knowledge
Track record of leading teams
Proven ability to set a strategy and then execute over a period of months, quarters or years
Ability to understand the purpose and meaning of complex content and campaign concepts and apply these effectively to a variety of mediums and channels
Ability to translate brand, position and voice into social engagement and interaction with consistency
Data driven with strong analytical skills. Expert with MS Excel. Tableau experience a plus
Proven success developing target projections to accurately pinpoint spend needs and campaign outcomes
Proven ability to deliver valuable business insights based on multiple data sources
Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities with significant analytical, logical and strategic thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills coupled with an ability to work with executives and a wide range of professionals
Ability and desire to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Ability to evaluate and change priorities daily and to perform efficiently within a fast paced team environment
Adept in the use of analytics and social media reporting tools including Radian6, Simply Measured, Omniture and others
