Director, Reliability Management, will be responsible for leading a team of reliability and quality engineers. This is an exciting leadership opportunity within the broader Gogo Quality organization. The successful candidate is a very high performing leader with engineering background, exemplary analytical and problem solving skills and a passion and demonstrated track record for driving reliability. This position will be focused on:
Development and tracking of components reliability performance in production – focus is on airborne equipment for inflight connectivity and entertainment
Analysis of the components replacement trends, failure modes, projected impact of improvement actions
Leverage Six Sigma DMAIC framework for major reliability improvement initiatives
Expert use of statistical reliability tools such as PTC Windchill, Minitab, or ReliaSoft
Weibull Analysis
Develop and maintain prioritized reliability improvement action lists
Support failure analysis actions working with internal engineering, suppliers, operational teams
Support New product Introduction monitoring by tracking of failures and replacement data for any emerging issues
Chair Reliability working groups to drive actions and track results. This entails working across functions including engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, etc. Lead cadence for regular cross functional project reviews
Publish project reports, metrics updates both for internal and airline customers reporting
Develop strategies for continuous improvement of reliability and working effectively across upstream functions to engage and drive. This is achieved through analyzing performance trends, understanding of Gogo technologies, suppliers, supply chain and operations

Requirements:
Engineering academic background (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial). Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred
Six Sigma BlackBelt certification is required
Expertise in analytical and statistical tools and methods - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Prior experience in aerospace industry (avionic suppliers, aircraft OEMs, Inflight connectivity, etc.) a very strong plus
10+ years of relevant work experience required; Minimum 5 years in reliability management
Effective team management skills

Flexibility and ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast paced environment and prioritize work items appropriately
Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization - Ability to develop executive level updates
