Job description
Principal Functions Of The Position

With reasonable accommodation if required, directs entire quality function, including establishing and maintaining standards for raw materials, in-process and finished products.

Responsibilities And Tasks Of The Position

· Establishes standards (raw material, work-in process, finished goods), policies, procedures and control processes under the general direction of senior management to meet organizational and contractual (customer) requirements.



· Directs the operation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintains primary responsibility of ISO compliance, including implementation of upgraded and related standards.

· Assigns and supervises work, trains (or provides for the training of) employees who perform analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of received printed product, paper or raw material or other materials as well as those involved in training and ISO compliance, and including positions such as Training Coordinator, Document Control Specialists, Lab Technicians, QA Specialists, and Inspectors.

·Work closely with prepress, production, and training departments as well as customers to improve product quality.

· Enforce quality assurance policies and procedures and government requirements.

· Collaborates with other managers to develop new product and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.

· Exercises judgment in dealing with unusual cases and/or those involving significant costs (deviation from standards, product disposition).

· Prepare product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends and communicating significant issues to senior/corporate management, department managers/supervisors and employees

· Responds to customer complaints and other nonconformance issues.

· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies/maintaining applicable professional certifications.

· Achieves financial objectives in line with department budget and analyze variances when required.

· Contributes to team success by working to accomplish common goals.

· Performs other duties as required by General Manager or corporate/executive management.

Minimum Requirements Of The Position

· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business and 10+ years of experience, or Master’s Degree and 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· American Society for Quality (ASQ) or equivalent certification preferred.

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as ratios, proportions, percentages, area,

circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

· Excellent MS Excel skills; strong knowledge of other MS Office, Quality Management (Epicor, QCBD, Cybermetrics, Intelex, etc.) and ERP/manufacturing (Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics, Seradex, etc.) software.

· Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
