§ Oversee a team that optimizes work flow/processes within Airport Customer Service and some Maintenance areas.
§ Oversee a team that optimizes staffing of Airport Customer Service and some Maintenance areas.
§ Work with HR, Finance and the Business Units to ensure that hiring, budget, and staff planning processes are synchronized across operations
§ Oversee all Time and Motion/Process studies of Hawaiian Ground Operations and oversee the process whereby optimum staffing levels are maintained throughout the Hawaiian system.
§ Oversee the creation and maintenance of staffing models based on flight schedules, historical data, passenger forecast, and time & motion studies and forecast manpower and GSE requirements for budgeting and provide updates based on changes to flight schedule and work processes.
§ Monitor efficiency of Customer Service and Maintenance workforce scheduling and work with the leadership teams to identify improvement opportunities and synthesize findings for Sr. Leadership.
§ Support station administration of Staff Plan program on an on-going basis
§ Supervise Industrial Engineer/Analyst
§ Work closely with Hawaiian Airlines Station Managers system-wide
§ Create and maintain staffing models to optimize manpower based on flight schedules, historical data, passenger forecast, and time & motion studies
§ Oversee manpower analyses to determine the operational and/or financial impact of changes to task processing, union rules, airport construction, safety requirements, new technology, outage and attrition trends, and passenger, bag, and cargo volumes
§ Develop operations statistics and system assumptions; conduct associated time studies; run and analyze periodic reports
§ Monitor efficiency of Customer Service and Maintenance workforce scheduling
§ Identify improvement opportunities and synthesize findings for Sr. Leadership
§ Support station administration of Staff Plan program on an on-going basis
§ 10 years of Airline Operations or providing support to Airline Operations
§ Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business or related field
§ Excellent analytical skills
§ Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal relationship and customer-focused skills; ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
§ Self-starter, organized, detail-oriented with excellent follow through skills
§ Demonstrated competence in project management; ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines and budget guidelines
§ Must be skillful and effective in oral and written communications and must be proficient in business processing with applicable PC skills in related software (Access, Word, Project, Excel, etc.)
§ Must have knowledge of FAA, DOTA, ACSSP, US Customs, & INS mandates to ensure division compliance
§ Must be able to understand bargaining unit contracts applicable to air carrier agreements
§ Experience with staff planning software and/or staffing analysis
§ Ability to manage and lead teams
