Job Description
The Director of NXT Product Marketing is responsible for leading the go-to-market strategy of our NXT solution line – Raiser’s Edge NXT and Financial Edge NXT. The includes identifying and realizing market opportunity, market segmentation, value proposition, positioning, pricing, & packaging of the new solutions, and all associated assets and tools to enable sales and partner distribution and demand generation. The Director of NXT Product Marketing is responsible for market performance in both new acquisitions and customer migrations. With NXT launching to the market in the summer of 2015, this is an exciting role to shape the transformation of Blackbaud and the solutions we deliver to our customers!


Details Of The Role Include

Lead the go-to-market strategies and execution plans for Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge NXT.
Ensure a deep understanding of nonprofit buyers and operational challenges.
Size and define market segments, understand the competitive dynamics of targeting, positioning, pricing, packaging and differentiation.
Leverage your deep understanding of different market segments, how the NXT solution line meets their needs, and engage the target market to establish a winning position within the competitive landscape.
Ensure successful product release and launch communications as well as refine and retool our on-going marketing strategies and execution for existing markets.
Partner with product management to guide recommended product investment, determine the solutions’s market- entry timing and opportunity, and accurate market approach and positioning.
Partner with sales and partner team to create and ensure optimal distribution strategy to achieve market goals.
Empower internal stakeholders; influence external nonprofit decision makers, partners, and thought leaders
Effectively engage Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Partners, and Customer Success; liaise across various organizational levels to ensure the overall success of the NXT solution lines in the market.
Ensure that the organization is effectively equipped and collaboratively educated on our strategy to enable full achievement of revenue goals.
Leverage your reputation as a ‘market expert’ to partner with senior leadership and guide the short and long-term agenda for the NXT solutions.
Effectively manage the NXT business by:
Ensuring all internal and external stakeholders are armed with: value/differentiation presentations, demonstrations, call scripts, case studies, web content, white papers, ROI modeling.
Collaborating with Demand Generation and Digital Marketing teams to design and deliver lead generation initiatives across multiple vehicles: SEM, content marketing, tradeshows, seminars, webinars, calling campaigns, marketing automation programs, etc.
Deeply engaging in the nonprofit marketplace in the field.
Developing a keen understanding of the competition, buyer needs, industry influencers and decision makers while possessing the ability to effectively communicate and publicly represent the company and our products at industry events.


Required Experience And Skills
5+ years of software Product Marketing experience
10+ years in software, preferably SaaS
Experience and a track record of driving adoption, growth and results for an established product
Experience launching new solutions to market
Experience developing and growing a high-performing team
BS/BA degree, MBA preferred
Strong problem solving, analytical and mental acuity
Business savvy with proven ability to develop, promote, and execute a business development plan
Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences, from C-level to entry level, internal and external.
Proven influencing skills with top executives, working cross-functionally and with clients/prospects
Self-starter, creative thinker, excellent listener and communicator
Strong affinity for sales team success, prior sales experience a plus
Proven marketplace relationship building skills with industry influencers, pivotal clients
Proven record of thriving in fast-paced and matrixed environment


Preferred Experience And Skills
Experienced with salesforce.com or similar CRM, web conferencing tools, expert-level proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Prior experience working with other nonprofit software or services providers
Experience working for or volunteering with a nonprofit or nonprofit board experience
Prior experience working with SaaS companies
