The Opportunity
The company currently has an opening for a Director of Global Distribution in our Supply Chain department. This position will report to the OPCO VP Global Supply Chain; based in Richmond, IL.

Primary Responsibilities
As a member of the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team (GSC-LT), the successful candidate will head up the global distribution. The leadership of this group will ensure a continued growth of LBS's customer experience through maintaining stability in the current distribution setup, establish a worldwide distribution strategy and ensure of successful implementation and ongoing improvement to increase LBS's customer experience.
The candidate will be working closely with the VP of Supply Chain and VP of Sales in the regions in order to ensure alignment for all distribution activities.

Additional Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and executing a global distribution strategy, which will drive optimal customer service, reduce distribution cost and improve the working capital turns
Developing a continuously enhanced customer experience
Work closely with the local sales organization to match the service level to the customer expectation
Work closely with the rest of the Global Supply Chain organization in order to secure that main KPI targets are achieved
Manage and optimize a Global Supply Chain logistics network with multiple distribution centers across the globe
Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met within global guidelines
Deploy distribution best practices (based on the Danaher Business System) across the distribution network
Leadership of direct reports as well as management of distribution

Main KPIs
Shipping quality
Delivery service (on time and warehouse fill rate)
Optimize the working capital (inventory and accounts payable in the distribution)
Optimize the distribution cost (freight and running cost)
