Job Description
Based in San Francisco, the Global Head of Brand & Advertising is responsible for building the iShares brand globally through the definition and implementation of a global brand strategy and the development and execution of global creative platforms that support the business and brand goals of BlackRock’s ETF business around the world. This position will also be responsible for leading the US advertising team and the development and execution of all advertising campaigns in the US in support the US iShares business and brand goals. .
Responsibilities * Define a global brand vision and strategy for BlackRock’s ETF business that builds a distinct, differentiated and relevant brand positioning for iShares with all client segments and key stakeholders * Ensure the consistent and coherent communication of the brand positioning through a global communications platform and segmented messaging architecture * Support the consistent visual manifestation of the iShares brand across key brand touch points will all client segments through the evolution and application of a distinct visual identity system
* Develop and maintain the tools required to support the consistent understanding and execution of the brand strategy and visual identity system across the iShares business * Lead the development and execution of integrated global creative platforms in support of key business and brand priorities * Consult and collaborate with Global Marketing and key Business stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution * Lead the development and execution of all brand and product advertising campaigns in the US ? * In collaboration with the US Digital Marketing team define and execute an industry leading content and distribution strategy for all key client segments * Direct the development of integrated, innovative media strategies and plans in the US * Consistently seek to enhance marketing effectiveness through the best in class application of marketing data and analytics to inform strategy and track the health of the brand and performance of global creative platforms and advertising campaigns ? Be a brand and advertising thought leader within iShares with regards brand strategy, brand and product communications and consumer engagement across all channels ? Manage, motivate and inspire agency teams to deliver outstanding thinking, creative and results * Lead, develop and inspire the iShares Global Brand and Advertising team * Effectively manage the brand and advertising budgets to optimize impact Skills and Qualifications * Results oriented marketer with 15+ years of experience building high profile consumer brands through the execution of business driving and brand building campaigns * 5+ years of experience leading the development and execution of global brand strategies in a global, corporate and matrixed organization * Bachelors degree required, an MBA is preferred * Understanding of the Financial Services industry * Experience creating and executing integrated campaigns in key markets outside of the US * Excellent leadership capabilities and demonstration of experience developing and scaling teams * Strategic thinker and thought leader with a mindset of innovation and intellectual curiosity * Agile, adaptable and flexible marketer * Excellent “end to end” project management from insight to execution demonstrating the ability to drive from strategy to seamless deployment * Application of a strong data and analytics capability to inform strategy and measure marketing effectiveness and ROI * Ability to manage and inspire third party vendors and agencies * Experience defining and managing significant marketing budgets * Strong executive presence and ability to be effective with senior stakeholders * Collaborative team player * Demonstrated tracked record of driving transformational change and building cultures of excellence
