Job Description
As a member of the BTA team, Director, Finance solutions position is a challenging and broad role for individuals who want exposure to VMware's entire Financial Automated Solutions and are able to utilize business process skills to actively contribute to project implementations\. The Director, BTA Finance Solutions will report into Sr\. Director, BTA, Finance Solutions and work closely with the GPO org, the overall BTA, Finance Business Process and operations teams and IT teams worldwide on a variety of Process Improvements across all Finance systems including implementing new finance initiatives, new finance applications with a key focus in SAP GRC\. This role will support the finance business by contributing to Define, Analyze, Design, Test and Deploy phases of ERP Implementation with key emphasis on GRC Track\. This position as part of BTA Finance Solutions team will work closely with the Accounting business group to transform the business and collaborate with IT to implement new solutions and enable business capabilities\. They will be a key enabler in implementing GRC Access and Process Control working closely with the finance GPO organization\. The candidate for this position will need to understand the end to end accounting process including procure to pay, record to report and invoice to cash with a special emphasis around revenue recognition\. • Work on implementing SAP GRC
• Liase with Finance GPO org and IT in articulating and implementing roles and responsibilities in the GRC area\. • Drive Process improvements and transformation opportunities as Finance implements new solutions • Define and analyze the requirements, prepare the BRDs, develop Test trackers, and coordinate business user testing\. • Work closely with Business and IT Finance team during design, build, test and deploy stages • Help IT team to apply patches and fixes to the existing system\. Liaise with IT and Business to test the expected results and publish the same\. • Participate in CRP and UAT testing for various projects to compare actual with expected results and liaise with IT to resolve bug fixes • Prepare end\-user functional training and functional documentation • Collaborate with GPO org and IT finance during test cycles to ensure the solution meets the finance teams expectations Requirements and Specifications: • Bachelors or Masters in Business Administration, MIS, Commerce, Accounting or Economics \(other majors OK with requisite experience\) with at least 8 years of experience \(Master's degree\) 9 years of experience \(Bachelor's degree\) in implementing finance Solutions or similar role\. • End to end understanding of finance landscape and close process is needed\. Knowledge and expertise around how individual finance areas such as procure to pay, invoice to cash and record to report fit together is necessary • SAP certification and expertise in financials modules needed • Business engagement and Business analysis experience in implementing ERP systems \(GRC Track\) is required\. • Combination of experience in systems/IT working with accounting or finance a plus\. • Experience working with remote teams and management strongly preferred\. • SAP ERP functional knowledge of GRC for Access and Process Controls needed • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people using strong written and oral communication skills\. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment\. • Financial Process knowledge is required
