American National is currently seeking candidates for the position of Director of Worksite Sales. This is a full time salary + incentive + benefits position located in our attractive, professional office complex, adjacent to the Marina in South Shore Harbour in League City, TX.


Essential Functions And Duties

This position offers the opportunity to build and maintain relationships with marketing groups and individual producers with the intent to distribute SLAICO worksite and voluntary health and life insurance products, and includes:
Recruiting new marketing groups and producers through advertising, industry meetings and travel.
Hiring, training and managing internal marketing representatives to support new distribution.
Coaching new groups through the initial startup.
Provide product and procedure training to marketing groups and producers.
Maintain ongoing profitable and growing relationships with marketing groups and producers.
Develop and produce direct response mailers and e-mail blasts to recruit marketing companies and producers.
Work with Actuaries and other internal staff to identify and build additional products and support systems for this market

Minimum Requirements
Five years’ experience working in the worksite and voluntary life and health insurance markets.
Solid working knowledge of the health insurance industry including not only SLAICO’s products, but also the competitors’ products and how we compare.
Undergraduate degree required
Insurance or financial industry designations strongly desired (LUTCF, FMLI, CLU, ChFC, CFP, etc.).
Must possess the ability to achieve objectives through interpersonal relationships.
Experience with management of complex projects under time constraints.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Career-oriented individuals with excellent computer skills, particularly MS Office applications.
