Director - Strategic Initiatives - PVH Corp. - New York


Job description
Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Supply Chain- Strategic Initiatives Office, the Dir - Strategic Initiatives GSC is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating according to predetermined timelines and budgets. Building and managing internal project teams, supporting the Initiative Owner, facilitating meetings and ensuring quality control throughout the Initiative life cycle are central to this position.
Manage project development from initiation to closure.
Be accountable for project results along with Initiative Owner.

Work with initiative owner and stakeholders to complete and maintain RACI document outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task.
Provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed.
Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders.
Act as a mediator between stakeholders and team members.
Facilitate milestone meetings and other meetings critical to the progress of the Initiative.
Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle.
Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request forms.
Track and report on Initiative milestones and provide status reports to sponsor.
Lead, coach, and motivate Initiative team members on a proactive basis.
Determine how results will be measured and complete a post-Initiative evaluation to determine how well results were achieved.
Develop tools and best practices for Initiative management and execution.
Safely crash unsuccessful or re-prioritized projects.
Ensure all project documents are safely archived following project completion.

Experience:

7 years’ work experience in the retail industry
2-3 years’ work experience in project or consulting.
Demonstrated leadership managing people.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strategic, operational, and technical marketing & management skills.
Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments.

Education
University degree or college diploma in business or a related field.
PMI Certification is a major asset.
Skills:

Familiarity with project management tools and/or software packages.
