Director - Product Management - Cloud Client Computing - Dell - Santa Clara
Job description
Dell is looking for a Product Management Director to lead the Cloud Client Computing (CCC) Software organization. The Director in the role will sit on the staff of the Cloud Client Computing Product Management team, manage the product line, pricing and demand planning functions. The director will engage with and manage partners as necessary in order to drive comprehensive CCC product offerings.
Responsibilities
Define, Design and Create CCC products
Analyzing market and business demand to set product strategy for Cloud Client Computing
Building a practice around that drives attach for client peripherals
Regularly presenting business objectives and performance to an executive audience
Managing products and programs to drive CCC business.
Leading product planning teams for regional product feature and cost requirements
Achieving success through a product roadmap that delivers the desired P&L.
Enabling sales with products and providing ongoing sales engagement. The Director will work closely with the cycle planning and brand management teams to develop these plans and programs. Success is a simple set of offers that provide adequate market cover and deliver the required economics for the business
Define messaging, author collateral, conduct analyst briefings and perform executive briefings
Managing product transitions to ensure continuity of supply for customers and limited excess at the end of life of a product
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree, Masters preferred, and 10+ years of cradle-to-grave experience in Product Management around thin clients, VDI, datacenter technologies and software and peripheral that compliments those technologies
Experience with 4P (product, price, promotion, placement).
Ability to provide strategic insights to the business and identify opportunities for growth and improved product offerings
Excellent knowledge of the product development process, pricing and demand planning to drive those functions
8+ years of people management across direct, extended and contracted teams
Experience with attracting and hiring strong talent
Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with presenting across multiple levels in an organization
