The CNET Tech Group (CNET, TechRepublic, ZDNet) is looking for an experienced and passionate leader of Mobile development. This role leads the native mobile development teams across 3 premiere, highly scalable brands for both iOS and Android. It demands a unique balance of both deep technical and people skills.
As the Manager of Mobile Engineering, you would work directly with the Senior Director of Mobile Products to deliver world class applications, in a highly collaborative environment. You will continue to build and develop a growing team, in a critical space for a multi-million dollar business. As the chief architect, you would develop and design core strategies for efficient coding standards and design, and ensure that all of our applications leverage as much as possible from a common core. Also, keeping up with the industry and 3rd party integrations is critical to the success.

Qualifications: Required: 7+ years of software engineering experience 4+ years in management Successful background leading mobile software development teams Experience scaling and augmenting development teams through vendor and contractor services Knowledge of mobile architecture best practices Proven track record with iOS and Android A deep understanding of the differences between user interaction on a phone and tablet Excellent coding and testing skills in Objective C and Java Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities Experience with HTML 5 and JavaScript a plus A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics Must successfully pass a background check In addition, CBS will be guided by applicable federal, state and local laws when considering for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories
