Uber is growing quickly all around the world. To help our teams succeed, we are looking to deploy amazing People Operations technologies (aka HRIS) that will help us grow as a company and stay productive, with 100% transparency into the underlying information. The People Operations Technology Director will help us build a technology roadmap and ecosystem encapsulating more than a dozen systems - including Workday and other technologies supporting recruiting, shared services, learning management, employee development, and compensation.
This role will also lead the continued development of a data warehouse solution and BI tool that connects and visualizes all components of the technology landscape. This is a new role at Uber and therefore full of opportunities for creativity, innovation, and growth. Successful candidates will have experience building/leading an HRIS team or product ownership for HR tech products. A natural curiosity to build, refine, and perfect a product is essential. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Be the expert in HR tech and innovation * Develop a vision and the roadmap to create an incredible employee experience with technology and process * Build expertise with processes and gap analyses, and problem-solve to address these issues * Partner closely with technology teams to drive product development and solutions * Focus on design and ease of use for employees, while concurrently driving utility in the back-end * Hire and lead supporting resources * Define success metrics and measure return on investments

WHAT YOU’LL NEED * 10+ years professional experience in this space * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Exceptional attention to detail * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Strong analytical skills with a metrics-driven mindset * Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment * Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully * International work experience, foreign language capability is a plus
