Director - Governance & Economics - American Express - New York
Job description
The Governance and Economics team is responsible for the governance, pricing strategy, and economics management of the Membership Rewards program. This leader will define & execute an effective pricing strategy, oversee our existing MR economics process, and be responsible for key governance processes (both internal and externally focused) to ensure seamless execution of the Membership Rewards program.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee pricing strategy and execution
• Oversee & continue to improve MR pricing governance process
• Manage program economics of the Memberships Rewards program
• Oversee key compliance initiatives and resolutions related to Membership Rewards
• Develop and implement processes to ensure operational excellence of program
• Own all Terms and Conditions related to Membership Rewards program
• Develop and manage a high performing team
• Own Roadmap strategic planning and management
The Candidates Must Possess The Following Qualifications
• Strong track record in data analytics & synthesis
• High degree of comfort in Membership Rewards accounting & financials strongly preferred
• Extensive experience managing long, complex projects
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Pays attention to detail
• Can effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Ability to form and articulate a strategy to broader groups
• Comfort in adapting to rapidly changing environment
• Demonstrated experience in constructing and developing pricing models for consumer segments
• Experience in developing and managing operational processes
• Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and still have fun
• Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams and influence decisions
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
