Director - Corporate Branding - CA Technologies - Colorado
Job description
Currently we have an opening for a Director, Corporate Branding. This is a critical role within the organization as it serves to solidify the visual and verbal branding for CA Technologies in the minds of our customers and partners.
In This Role, You'll Help Support CA Technologies Through a Wide Range Of Activities Including
Brand Audit – maintain a review of key aspects of the company including: products, services, communications, behaviors, environments that identify key brand drivers and aspects that contribute to the overall impression of the brand
Brand Platform – ensuring the CA brand platform is maintained and updated as the company evolves via on-going analysis and development of the core components that form the foundation for corporate messaging. Authoring and testing the messaging. This role would partner with the VP of Content on message development
Brand Architecture – analysis, development, research and rationalization of product brands, brand families, product and technology hierarchy, line extension feasibility
Naming - strategy and requirements development, executing linguistic analysis and review, cultural validation, collaboration with legal on trademark reviews for new names. Nomenclature convention development for existing and new product and services families. Ensures all CA employees are kept apprised of all name changes or additions and the rationale behind them
Brand Identity – partnering with CA Technologies agency to maintain the corporate brand guidelines and update as required
Brand Management/Governance – develop program and content for on-going stewardship of the brand across marketing and non-marketing groups within CA Technologies. This includes ownership of all content on the Brand Center on OneCA
Brand Education – development of content and curriculum for on-going brand education for employees and agencies globally
M&A Branding – develop brand strategy and implementation for mergers and acquisitions. Collaborate with strategy teams to understand acquisition strategy and implement a brand strategy execution for post M&A brand integration
Brand Tracking and Research – oversee development of any brand level research programs from goal setting through questionnaire development to final report delivery and socialization of results
Event Branding – oversee creation of key event themes, messaging, marketing the event, creative execution of themes to ensure a consistent brand experience from the moment the customer arrives to when they depart. CA World is an important event for the company and branding this properly is critical
Departmental Brand Programs – partner with internal stakeholders on program development for their specific departments. This includes but is not limited to HR, the Ethics team, Corporate Social Responsibility, etc
This role has a team of three to four to manage. The expectation is that the Senior Director will evaluate the talent acquired and determine their responsibilities

A minimum of 10 years’ experience working as a brand strategist within a large technology oriented company or branding agency.
Experience working closely with c-level executives and ability to gain their trust and respect.
Ability to manage teams, both internally and externally, that are high functioning, motivated and successful.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated, confident self-starter who has the capacity to flourish in a fast-paced, ever-changing organization
