The Financial and Core Transactional Services team is looking for a talented innovator to lead the delivery of the next generation Financial Systems platform for Expedia, Inc. Overview:
The Sr. Director, Financial Systems Technology is a thought-leader in the Financial and Core Transaction Systems organization within Expedia's eCommerce Platform Technology team. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive ERP solutions across Expedia's brands and product lines. In this role, you will oversee the working relationship between the ERP/Financial Systems team, Finance, Accounting, and business units across the company. You will define and execute on the vision and strategies that enable us to scale our financial systems to meet the growing demands of the business. You will lead engineering and operations, and work collaboratively with Product and Program management teams, stakeholders, and business leaders to develop effective, transparent, cohesive, and high quality technologies and processes.

Responsibilities:
• Build and lead a geographically distributed team of highly talented engineers, analysts, and managers.
• Understand the industry and product related landscapes, voice of the customer feedback and end user inputs. Proactively work with Product Management and business owners to define strategy and vision. Integrate research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance client satisfaction.
• Develop the strategy and plan to significantly improve the quality and delivery timeline of products. Execute against a product roadmap that aligns with business goals and objectives.
• Define and analyze technology and operational metrics that inform the quality of the systems; manage technical metrics and reporting.
• Define and analyze business metrics that inform the success of products. Measure feature success metrics post ship and feed learning back to the team and the business.
• Address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
• Develop a global tier-2 support model for Financial Systems.
• Challenge status quo and drive creativity, innovation and operational excellence.
• Participate in annual talent, performance and compensation review cycles combined with establishing a mentoring plan for all team members.
Work Experience and Education Guidelines:
• 8+ years of ERP software development experience in an enterprise environment.
• 7+ years experience managing leaders and a global team in software delivery or product development.
• Bachelors or masters in computer science or a related field, or a technology focused business degree such as Management Information Systems, or a technology focused MBA.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing winning technology strategies within a large, complex organization.
