Amazon Prime is looking for a talented, thorough, and detail-oriented Sr. Visual Designer to be a strong owner of the Amazon Prime visual experience. As the visual designer for Amazon Prime, you will: create assets that will be used in many channels, including Kindle, mobile, and desktop for a whole lot of products; own the global visual style for the Prime program, and consult with many partner teams. We have lots going on, all of it fun. There are opportunities for photo shoots, video creation, and illustration; in other words, you won't be bored.

Amazon Prime is a unique membership program which helps fuel the growth of Amazon's business worldwide. In the years to come we will dramatically expand our membership, reinventing the program as we go. We're constantly thinking about innovative ways to acquire new members, delight existing participants, and improve the Prime member experience.

Successful candidates will provide a strong portfolio and demonstrate excellent web interface and visual design skills.

Responsibilities Include
Collaborate with other designers as well as product management, development, and business teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, on-brand graphic solutions to build a superior customer experience for Amazon Prime.
Produce sketches, graphics, templates, layouts, themes, typography, and visual standards for merchandising or promotions across the retail web process.
Provide and manage design documentation, style guides, and our visual voice.
Proactively manage own time and deadlines.
Partner with marketing team to create relevant assets for site merchandising, banner ads, email campaigns, etc.
At least seven years of experience in designing for retail web sites.
Design degree and/or 4-year college degree preferred.
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating excellent visual design skills.
Proficient skill level in the standard tools of the design trade, e.g. Photoshop, Fireworks, Visio, Omnigraffle, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
Fluent in English with a proven track record of presenting to business stakeholders
Branding background
Experience with video editing
Experience with art direction for photo and video shoots
