General - Director Targeting & Offer Strategy, Card Services
Responsible for all aspects of new account acquisition and targeted offer strategy for PenFed’s credit card portfolio, including data analytics, financial assessment, business intelligence, and file management. Particular emphasis will be placed on working with vast amounts of internal and external data to identify opportunities that will profitably increase PenFed’s market share and support overall portfolio growth.

Essential Duties - Director Targeting & Offer Strategy, Card Services
Identifies profitable prospect segments by evaluating behavioral/demographic attributes, credit risk criteria, and other internal and external data elements
Manages all aspects of acquisition marketing, including targeting segmentation, offer, channel, product positioning, and pricing strategies
Serves as key liaison with IT, Finance, Credit Risk and external business partners critical in the holistic evaluation, management, and execution of strategies aimed at driving portfolio growth
Develops strategies and implements programs that significantly increase card usage across all phases of the cardholder lifecycle, including acquisition, usage, and retention
Leverages data to identify portfolio segments that are underutilizing the card and develops programs to drive incremental usage and revenue
Continuously refines targeting and marketing strategies by establishing an effective test and learn approach
Identifies and implements technical capabilities and process improvements to better support overall business and user needs
Develops analytic and performance evaluation tools to effectively manage the credit card portfolio’s profitability
Optimizes marketing initiatives across all existing and prospect cardholder touch-points, including direct mail, digital, mobile, call center, statements and branch channels

Special Requirements - Director Targeting & Offer Strategy, Card Services
Baccalaureate degree in a related field (or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions) is required. MBA is preferred
Credit Card data and business intelligence management experience is required
A minimum of seven years related work experience including credit card acquisition and engagement data analytics including but not limited to modeling, direct marketing, business development and product development within a financial services environment is required
Expertise in SAS, SQL, Excel, Data Warehousing and associated tools is required
Working knowledge of credit card marketing and operations is required
Strong communication and presentation skills required
Ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve goals is required

Must possess mobility and stamina to work in a standard office setting
Employees must be able to use standard office equipment including, but, not limited to computer, printer, and calculator
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
Must be able to travel to various PenFed locations
May need the ability to raise arms about their head
Adequate hearing and speech to communicate with our members and/or staff on the phone or in person
