Summary
The Director of Marketing Partnerships is responsible for managing National Geographic's strategic partnership with The Great Courses as well other marketing partnerships. Responsibilities include product managing the collection of educational courses, overseeing marketing promotions and sweepstakes, leading marketing strategy for the Gear Store, and leading other marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities
Oversee National Geographic’s strategic partner relationship with The Great Courses to maximize revenue potential for co-branded products. Lead development and marketing of compelling products that are reflective of the National Geographic brand and mission. Manage all aspects of the relationship from product identification and development through marketing, brand management and P&L oversight. (50%)
Oversee promotions and sweepstakes for National Geographic Expeditions. Field and vet requests for third party trip donations, and identify cooperative marketing opportunities with promotional partners. (20%)
Manage marketing and guest communications for the National Geographic Expeditions Gear Store. Develop and implement guest communications and marketing strategy, identify promotional opportunities and produce print and digital marketing collateral. (15%)
Support new marketing/distribution partnerships, including international marketing partners. (15%)
Minimum Education Required
Bachelors degree, MBA a plus.
Minimum Years and Type of Experience
+ years' experience in product management, marketing, and/or partner management. Travel industry experience a plus.
Knowledge And Skills Required
Excellent leadership and collaboration skills with ability to set goals and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.
