Director - HPC Systems Solutions - Intel - Hillsboro
Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, championing, and effecting the long-term roadmap for HPC Systems Solutions, comprehending both baseline and emergent technologies, whether hardware or software. They will be responsible for understanding the market segment history and trends, with solid analyst data, in order to effectively communicate rationale for proposed products and programs; this includes forecasting likely disruptions along with mitigation plans as well as competitive analysis and associated mitigation plans. They will be responsible for engaging and maintaining effective relationships with their peers in the ecosystem, including ISVs, channel customers, and 3rd party fellow travelers, along with the related Intel account teams.
The candidate would be responsible for developing the product/program messaging themes, comprehending the needs of internal partners and external customers, both our customers and theirs.
The candidate would have a team of solutions architects reporting directly to them. They'd also have key stakeholders engaged with them (whether dotted line or otherwise) to cover supply chain, marketing, engineering, and other supply elements. The candidate would be responsible for careful and clear coordination of this large team for the purposes of enabling them to not only be successful but to reach the level of synthesis and then synergy.

Minimum of 7 years of recent and direct HPC community involvement with demonstrated knowledge and external relationships in the HPC community. Strongly desired that the candidate would already be well-involved in the HPC community, AMB the level to which they know the various players (both FTs and competitors), how well they are known by the ecosystem, and how recognizable they are for their community involvement by way of keynotes and panels. In short, that they are an established trusted advisor to the community at large.
Ability to work in a start-up environment and needs to be creative, industrious, influential in strategy, and a leader by doing.
Demonstrated thought leadership and capability in managing both directly and through influence to deliver product solutions with both revenue and growth impact.
Minimum of 3 years in a GM-like and/or division level staff position with developed capabilities in: P&L and operational management, leadership development, experience in building strong customer relationships, strong critical thinking skills.
Proven skills at communicating within (up and down) and outside; is keynote capable with confidence and experience.
A demonstrated champion for the strategy, their people, and their organization at large
An advanced degree in computational science or engineering discipline.
