Director - Small Business Products - Visa - Foster City

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director – Small Business Products will be a key contributor in the development of new products or value added services that resonate with Small Businesses. This position will be responsible for working cross-functional teams both internally and with external clients to identify and prioritize product requirements and to help drive those requirements through the end-to-end product development lifecycle.


Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Analytics

o Serve as liaison between small business product and analytics team to initiate projects that produce meaningful and actionable insights for clients and product
Evaluate marketplace to identify customer needs, competitor trends and industry best practices to support small business product strategy development and new product development



Product Management
Lead management of SavingsEdge merchant and vendor relationships, including opportunity assessments, issue resolution, analytics and renewals
Gather business requirements for small business products & features. This includes reviewing competitive changes, obtaining feedback from clients and small business via market research and internal analytics.
Develop detailed business requirements documentation for assigned small business products and product features, including use cases and other written business requirements documentation artifacts.
Act as the product owner and advocate for assigned product features in interactions with various internal organizations such as Product, Support, Sales, Global Systems, Marketing, Risk, and Legal.
Engage with companies to assess partnership potential for small business and facilitate partnership activities

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

Undergraduate degree or above
Typically requires a minimum of 7-9 years progressively responsible business experience.
Strong knowledge of payment ecosystem a plus.
Prior experience in analytical environment performing business analyses, generating data-driven insights and presenting them to stakeholders.
Background in defining business requirements preferred.
Background working with external partners and go-to-market activities desirable.
Investment banking and/or strategy consulting experience highly desirable.
