Senior Director - Business Operations & Strategy - Public Cloud - Oracle - Redwood Shores

As the Senior Director, Business Operations and Strategy for Oracle Public Cloud, reporting directly to the SVP of Oracle’s Public Cloud, you will build and lead a new team. Your team will be built to address three primary areas: data analysis (incl. market demands, forecasts, etc…), competitive analysis, and financial planning. Your team will both do the work and will also function in a consultative and/or oversight capacity.
Areas of responsibility will include:
Data analysis: market demands, forecasts
Competitive analysis
Demand analysis and projection
COGS analysis
Pricing strategy analysis
CSAT measuring and analysis
Internal processes analytics (e.g. customer-issue-to-close)
Definition and analysis of SLA metrics and other KPIs
Team should have independent capability of building and running a variety of dashboards
Build ROI and gross/net margin models
In general have capability of deep financial analysis and planning
Aggregated reporting, trend/gap analysis, benchmarks, and insights
Desired Skills and Experience
Preferred requirements include:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience, MBA or graduate degree is strongly preferred
10 years of relevant work experience in relevant companies and industries
6 years of experience at a management consulting firm or investment bank, or equivalent
Ability to effectively manage relationships, promptly responds to queries, ensure promises are kept and manage expectations
Strong business acumen and capable of developing strategic plans
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent writing, analytical and project management skills
Excellent communication skills, strong listening and questioning skills
Demonstrated ability to build and lead a multifaceted team that together cover a wide range of backgrounds and skills
