Elance-oDesk is looking for a star stellar Analytics leader to join our team.

Our business analysts are a crucial part of our team, taking the lead in understanding our clients, freelancers, and marketplace through the structuring and extracting of data, developing analyses and models, and coming up with actionable syntheses and recommendations. Our analytics team is very much embedded with the business teams they support, while being centrally managed.
We need a leader who can inspire the team and help drive our company towards further growth.


In this role, you will:

● Lead, inspire, and grow the analytics team

● Be the primary contact for the business leaders and their teams for any issues that arise regarding analysis and insight, helping them with access to the right information and guiding decision making, both reactively and proactively.

● Work with the CFO and CEO on the overall company governance approach to optimize for our and ensure customers’ satisfaction and growth

● Determine the key metrics for which to track and set objectives; set goals, monitor progress to goals, and propose corrective actions if needed.

● Improve our reporting infrastructure to enable fast and accurate access to our data warehouse in a single-source-of-truth way; therefore further liberating data
within our organization

Requirements:

● You’re curious and passionate about understanding how things work, and how to improve them

● You have the ability to dive into big amounts of information and effectively synthesize it into concrete insights and actionable recommendations

● You’re an influencer. You like the idea of a highly visible, highly critical role

● You have an affinity for our vision. We believe that what we do can have a
meaningful impact on the world, and sharing in this vision will add to your success.

● A minimum of 10 years of experience in Finance or Analytics is required.

● Experience in FP&A is required, preferably with a mix of both private and public

companies, or one who went through the transition.

● Experience with reporting to Boards and/or external shareholders is required.

● Experience with a marketplace business is highly preferred.
