Director - Sales - Marketer Development - Quantcast - New York


Job description
Quantcast, a revolutionary audience intelligence and addressable advertising service, is in hyper growth mode and looking for a strong sales leader to manage the Marketer Development team.

This individual will lead a team responsible for calling on and working with top-tier advertisers (client direct). The team is responsible for building upon the successes of existing customers and developing new relationships with the industry’s top marketing minds. The candidate will be based in either Chicago or New York and responsible for managing the Central and Eastern Marketer Development team. The Sales Director, Marketer Development will be an experienced digital media sales leader with deep knowledge of the digital acquisition and brand advertising marketplace and previous/current enterprise SaaS experience.
The position works closely with other functional areas like product management, operations, marketing and engineering in an effort to develop and execute sales strategy. This is a highly visible position both internally and externally and with plans to significantly build out the team, there is strong potential for career growth.


Responsibilities
Full responsibility for leading the Company’s Marketer Development sales team to exceed revenue goals within planned sales expenses.
Responsible for working with top tier advertisers that buy in house as well as influencing more spend with direct advertisers through their Agencies of Record.
Recruit, hire, lead, motivate and inspire a world-class, high-performing sales team.
Manage all aspects of the Marketer Development sales function including developing new and incremental business, setting goals and account lists, determining needs, and proposing appropriate programs directly or via sales staff.
Oversee sales planning, budgeting and forecasting for a multi-million dollar territory.
Be active in the field, accompanying team on sales calls throughout the territory.
Develop and maintain strong high-level relationships with top-tier client-side marketing executives.
Regular reporting including 1-3-6-12-month outward forecasts against plan.
Work closely with other functional areas to execute sales programs, deliver campaigns, drive marketing programs, and develop new products/programs.
Represent the Company as a key external evangelist at industry events, conferences, panels, media/PR opportunities, etc.

Requirements
5+ years successful online advertising sales management experience plus a combination of online advertising and enterprise SaaS sales experience.
Experience working with performance display, data, networks, exchanges, or audience-based targeting products.
Strong track record of completing complex enterprise sales (9-12 month sales cycles).
Demonstrated knowledge in wide variety of interactive advertising concepts, practices and procedures, including online advertising technology.
Proven track record of establishing and exceeding team and individual goals.
Proven track record of personally pitching and closing business, in addition to building and managing a sales organization.
Strong analytical skills for managing a systematic sales funnel with key metrics, and for demonstrating ROI to advertisers.
Solid contacts at key clients.
Ability to think and plan strategically.
Strong negotiation skills.
Intelligence, positive attitude, enthusiasm, high energy, teamwork, sense of humor.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on, rapidly changing environment with a focus on growing and scaling sales organizations.
Ability/willingness to travel (~50% travel).
BA/BS degree required, Master's degree preferred.
