Director - Online Marketing - Oakley - Foothill Ranch

THE RUNDOWN
The Director of Online Marketing will be responsible for guiding all online marketing efforts for the US and guidance for International websites for Oakley and Oakley Vault. This position will be responsible for creating the overall online marketing strategy for brand and eCommerce initiatives; working with stakeholders around the world to maximize their opportunities. The Director of Online Marketing will provide strategy, planning and budget guidance, and will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of experts across various online marketing disciplines dedicated to Acquisition and Retention of digitally-connected customers.

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Contribute towards the Annual Operating Plans by providing over-arching strategy, budget and sales forecast for all online marketing tactics.
Manage annual online marketing budget adhering to strict efficiency guidelines for performance-based tactics as well as maximizing key opportunities for brand-building activities.

Work with online marketing agency to maximize site traffic and sales demand across all Oakley.com and OakleyVault.com websites, while meeting specified ROI targets.
Work closely with cross-functional peers on the Retail, Wholesale and Brand teams to ensure all communication is integrated to drive Direct Load traffic.
Collaborate with international teams to share best practices. Provide communication and education surrounding online marketing strategies and best practices across the global organization.
Manage and mentor team to drive qualified traffic through various acquisition tactics (SEM, SEO, Email, Affiliate Networks, Social Media, Display Remarketing).
Work closely with Web Analytics team to develop, measure and optimize the key performance indicators specific to each individual marketing tactic.
Research and analyze business trends, customer data and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and proactively alert the management team when programs deviate from projections.

THE QUALIFIERS
5-7+ years of working experience in online marketing
5+ years of team management experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications or related study
Experience managing marketing campaigns across International regions
Should be a motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail
Employee development and performance management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Knowledge of management principles and practices including budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
Thorough experience managing and monitoring performance/effectiveness of online marketing tactics such as SEM, SEO, Affiliate Networks, Email Marketing and Social Media
Extensive understanding of online marketing industry trends, tactics, current events, and user behavior
Experience with web analytics tools such as Coremetrics, Omniture, and/or Google Analytics
Ability to work in fast-paced team environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding projects schedules
Heavy Internet user, both personally and professionally
