Senior Director - Business Development - Couchbase - San Francisco


Job description
As a Senior Director of Business Development, you will be working with our global partner team qualifying, recruiting, closing, and supporting partners worldwide. Partners include Global Systems Integrators, Resellers, Software partners, Cloud partners, Hardware partners, and Mobile partners. You will be part of a team that has established Couchbase as the #1 selling NoSQL database in the world. You’ll be driving strategic opportunities within the partner channel across North America, EMEA, and AsiaPac, selling the value of our product and services offering.

Responsibilities
Support partners enabling them to close business to meet or exceed quarterly and annual bookings objectives.
Uncover opportunities within existing partner accounts and establish new accounts to develop partner objectives.
Maintain partner pipeline in salesforce.com CRM system.
Conduct online high level demonstration of the products and technical sales support.
Some travel to partner sites and events as appropriate.
Manage opportunities and forecast.


Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
Self-motivated, independent, and high-performance individual, with ability to learn and become productive extremely fast
7+ years B2B partner support and sales experience
Success at enterprise software sales, selling IT/web infrastructure and managing key strategic relationships
High-tech background; database and/or open-source software experience is preferred
Experience successfully selling into technical user base & VP-level
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superb relationship building skills and ability to show value to clients
BA/BS or equivalent work experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to be an outstanding team play
