Director - Software Development - Prysm - Carmel

Job description
Provide leadership for Prysm's Software Engineering team in building next generation communication and collaboration platforms. This role is responsible for day-to-day engineering efforts, managing workloads, development methodologies, and growing the engineering teams. Additionally, this person is proactive in collaborating with the executive team and working towards business goals
Responsibilities
Leading and building Anacore’s software engineering team
Implement and coach teams on agile software development methodologies
Building effective working relationships with business and technology stakeholders
Creating design and coding standards and implementing code review processes to ensure quality
Work effectively with product management and business stakeholders to understand roadmaps, product backlogs, and requirements
Manage day-to-day distribution of work among engineering teams using agile tools

Provide architectural and design leadership in building products
Assess and plan for continuous improvement of engineering skill sets
Coach and mentor teams and individuals to enable career development
Inspire innovative approaches to application design and problem solving

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
BSCS or CE or equivalent experience with 10+ years relevant work experience
Five+ years of management/leadership experience in software engineering
Eight+ years of experience with C# or other .NET Framework languages
Eight+ years of experience with MS SQL Server or other RDBMS
Three+ years of experience with web application development and modern HTML5 and JavaScript
Three+ years of experience managing development of desktop applications, preferably rich-media or highly interactive applications
Proven leadership and delivery of solutions using agile software development methods such as SCRUM
Experience with source control systems such as Git, Mercurial, or Subversion
Experience with development operational tools such as Jenkins and automation scripting
Preferred
WPF
Cloud applications and platforms
Websockets, SignalR, or other real-time messaging protocols
Experience building REST API's
Video streaming technologies
Multitouch application development
