We're looking for an experienced conversion rate expert to increase customer acquisition growth for Elance-oDesk by creating incredibly compelling and highly converting web experiences. In this role you will be responsible for managing the creation and optimization of all of Elance-oDesk’s marketing websites. You will lead a cross-functional team of web marketers, designers and developers. You will drive overall strategy, build effective cross-team collaboration, and manage rapid A/B testing to continuously improve.
In this role, you will:
Understand needs and barriers to conversion for prospect visitors to Elance-oDesk websites
Develop strategies for improving website conversion rates for acquiring new customers
Analyze web metrics and customer activity to identify the most impactful opportunities
Prioritize and manage website initiatives from stakeholders across the organization
Continuously run and evaluate results from A/B and multivariate tests to iteratively improve conversion
Directly lead a team of web marketers with cross-functional leadership responsibilities for design & development teams dedicated to marketing websites
Work closely with product marketing, SEO, product management and marketing analytics teams
Desired Skills and Experience
To win in this role, you need:
Four year degree or equivalent is required; MBA highly preferred
A minimum of 8 years of experience in web marketing and/or product management with strong bent on improving conversion rates
Ability to use customer research and data analysis to create insights that help identify improvement opportunities
Strong ability to work closely with multiple functional groups including senior executives, marketing, product management and engineering
A roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic
Good judgment and an absence of ego in your decision-making
Great sense of humor (our group is genuinely fun)
Bonus Credentials:
Experience with managing Agile development process
Knowledge of how to leverage on-page optimization for maximizing SEO benefit
Experience with web tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel & Optimizely
Ability to use SQL to pull and analyze behavioral data
