Director - Product Management - Data Management - FICO - Roseville
Job description
The Director of Product Management for Data Management is responsible for managing development priorities and ensuring operational readiness for data management on FICO Analytic Cloud, and for technical product management of the Data Management and Integration Platform.
The Director, PM for Data Management will perform competitive analysis and develop requirements for the data ingestion and management capabilities related to the FICO Analytic Cloud (FAC), including working with third party data partners to integrate data for the various products and services available on the FAC. The Director PM will ensure operational policies and processes are in place for managing clients' data, services, including compliance, retention and access rights.
Additionally, the Director will work closely with the head of Product Management of the Data Management and Integration Platform (DMIP) to create and review detailed product requirements based on the roadmap. DMIP is both a product sold to be installed on-premises, and it is the technology platform for data management and ingestion onto the FICO Analytic Cloud. The Director, PM would also perform competitive analysis of offerings in this space and assist in GTM activities per the Strategic plan. This position will interact closely with the Development Manager, Architects, Development and QA, Professional Services and key clients and partners.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Understand the latest technology for data ingestion and management; understand enterprise software cloud strategies, including those related to data service marketplaces. Keep abreast of the data management and technology market.
Translate FAC and FICO Product strategy to business and technical requirements for all data ingestion and management on FAC and for the FICO Platform that supports all applications.
Work with Cloud operations, Security, Data Privacy Officer, to ensure operations and technology support business strategy while protecting FICO and its customers and partners from data breaches and other risks.
Work with third party data providers to integrate their data in FAC Marketplace and operations, as DMIP job steps when appropriate.
Provide thought leadership on Data Management technology. Create white papers, document use cases and success stories. Lead User Community for the Data Management capabilities – Product education, internal webinars.
Support the Data Management and Integration Platform:
Understand the detailed functionality in the current Product to understand how users will interact, configure the product.
Translate requirements provided in the Product Roadmap and Release Plans into User Stories that can be used by development to design, estimate, and implement features.
Work with Tech Pubs to develop release documentation.
Lead the development of Demo specifications.
Combine Product / Market Research to work with Development and User Experience teams to design a winning user experience.
Work with development manager and architects to produce an Integration Patterns Developer guide, Sizing, Performance Tuning Guides.
Assist on various aspects of the GTM Strategy – Create supporting material for product collateral, positioning
Assist with pipeline activity to scope client requirements to guide sales towards the most appropriate offering.
Up to 25% travel.
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum a BA/BS Degree in Software Engineering, or equivalent related experience.
Must have at least 4 years of experience and exposure to data integration software.
Strong analytic and product management skills are required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into user stories.
