Job description
GOLIN LA is looking for a Director (VP+) to lead PR and Communications strategies on behalf of one of our top consumer entertainment accounts. This PR practitioner will oversee day-to-day client relations; focusing on the brand, product lines and corporate reputation. They will partner with our social/digital, creative and traditional PR communities to ensure long term success. You will lead by example and motivate the account team to deliver the best possible thinking for clients. Some of your initial challenges will include:
Lead the relationship with senior level clients and act as the recognized source of expertise and counsel in key client relationships, understanding all aspects of the client’s business and future offerings
Ensure high standard of client service and provide outstanding strategic and analytical counsel to clients and account team members on day-to-day issues.
Demonstrate excellent strategic and analytical skills in the areas of client counseling, account building, integrated marketing communications (including digital) and business development.
Grow existing business through partnership with account leads, identifying and capitalizing on opportunity.
Lead, manage, and mentor employees.
Contribute strategy and creativity to the product planning process.
The ideal candidate will bring 12-15 years of Consumer PR experience, preferably within the Children, Family, and/or Gaming sector. You should be able to blend strategic leadership, team leadership, U.S. consumer/branding specialty, and creative insight to the agency. PR Agency experience is required.
Other areas needed include:
Excellent digital acumen and understanding of how digital/social plays a role in PR and the gaming industry.
Proven ability to lead an integrated team and drive development of integrated big ideas/business solutions.
Experience in issues management
Experience repositioning brands
Results in growing existing business
Proven thought-leader with senior level client management.
Ability to identify and drive opportunity.
Proven client thought- partner.
Established manager who has grown talent via mentoring, providing constructive feedback and inspiring best work with staff in local and remote offices.
Ability to establish clear goals for business allowing team to succeed and achieve.
