Job description
We are seeking an individual to build and lead a team of web designers, developers and project managers in a small, fast-paced organization intending to become the premiere professional social media platform. We are looking for experience leading technology teams in dynamic/start-up cultures, with a keen eye for innovation and web design while not losing focus on the bottom line. The ideal candidate is unafraid of candid communication in a dynamic company culture, has a passionate interest in social media and blogging, is adept in designing and delivering cutting-edge web products, and is familiar with multi-tenant hosted environments.

Required Experience:

Successfully built/managed web technology project management, development and design teams
Extensive C-Level reporting experience
Experience in managing vendor relations
Established success in establishing new systems & processes for both teams and products
Application integration & management background
WordPress

SalesForce
Jira
GIT
Possess a strong business-oriented approach with demonstrated success working in a highly integrated way with other business departments within an organization
Strong history with client-facing responsibilities and accountabilities. Demonstrated interpersonal savvy and maturity.
Experience in delivering WordPress powered products and services
Has personally supported and overseen the support of product management/development initiatives

Extensive leadership and management capability – Including direct experience hiring and developing talent including project managers, developers and designers. We want you to help us build and develop an amazing team.
Developed WordPress sites, themes, and plugins. You consider yourself a WordPress expert.
You have an extreme passion for technology and believe cutting-edge technology directly impacts business results.
Contributed to several significant open source software projects in your work experience
Significant understanding of social media and you are an avid user/developer of blogs. You have built and maintained a personal or professional blog or many of them. You use social media such as Twitter and Linkedin regularly and understand current and emerging trends in social media.
Familiar with WP Engine hosting environment, and tools
Strong desire to be in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in a start-up environment and prefer small companies over large ones.

Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS college degree. Computer Science degree is not a requirement.
Experience with LAMP/LEMP stack
Experience with cloud architecture
Working knowledge of standard web development
4 years’ experience in a leadership/management position with direct supervision and accountability for talent.
