Position Overview
Channel Communications Director is a key member of Fidelity's Personal Investments Distribution Sales Effectiveness Team. This director-level role is essential in managing the design and coordination of significant field communication events and forums including Distribution Leadership Conference, recognition forums and product and segment road shows. The Channel Communications Director will be responsible for providing cross-program coordination and driving a consistent cadence of communication across multiple platforms and mediums. The Director will be responsible for focusing on driving sales results for PI through superior project planning and program management.
This position is responsible for executing the PI Distribution Field Communication strategy and driving cross-channel sales effectiveness across multiple communication programs. This individual will support communication events for products and services to all PI Distribution associates; they will be responsible for ensuring that the road show and communication experience align with stated business goals and objectives and have the full field support necessary to ensure the customer experience is kept at the forefront and business partner messaging is absorbed. This role will be the primary lead in coordinating communication across both branch and regional center channels, product, segment, compliance, L&D, service/sales distribution, Private Client Group/Practice Management, marketing.
Primary Responsibilities
Streamline Execution
Lead annual planning for site and market Road Show strategy
Manage logistical aspects of field-focused conferences along with tactical management of the programs
Identify opportunities to improve the associate experience
Drive business partner messaging & adoption across programs
Evaluate and measure communications program success
Modernize Platforms & Delivery
Platform approach and integration with broader technology work
Leadership communication and messaging cascade
Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience
· BA or BS in Business, Management, Communications or Organizational Behavior
· Customer-facing field experience preferred
· Strong track record of program or project management/national experience
· Some formal writing or marketing experience preferred
Skills/Knowledge
· Superior communication, organizational, collaboration and influencing skills
· Detail oriented with proven program management skills
· Identify opportunities to optimize the associate and business partner experience impacting sales and service effectiveness
· Represent associate advocacy on all aligned programs
· Proficient use of Microsoft office suite of products
· Proficient in design aspects of communication
· Effective time management and execution skills to drive multiple projects simultaneously
