VP - Marketing - CLEAR - New York
Job description
The VP of Marketing is a key member of the CLEAR team, who will provide leadership and management on all divisions of marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will manage a team of marketing professionals to develop tactical and strategic marketing direction, and also drive key acquisition initiatives. Essential Functions:
Oversee the development and implementation of CLEAR’s marketing plan.
Manage the marketing team to support business needs.
Direct the creation and implementation of marketing plans and campaigns covering digital marketing, public relations, social media, online advertising, email and other appropriate channels.
Oversee brand positioning through market and competitive analysis and customer segmentation.
Develop annual strategic plans with specific goals, strategies and tactics to achieve corporate goals.
Maximize retention of existing members while continuing to acquire new members.
Analyze results to build on successes and make recommendations for improvements.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree (required), with 8+ years of marketing related experience.
Solid organization skills and ability to work across multiple functions.
Broad market research methodology and design knowledge.
Experience with location-relevant businesses and city-by-city expansions is preferred.
Experience with subscription-based and/or web-based businesses preferred.
Experience with rapidly growing startups and matured organizations is a huge plus.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong experience with brand building and positioning.
Experience building using PR/Earned Media.
Ability to act as a leader and also roll up your sleeves and get down in the trenches, when necessary.
Strong understanding of digital media, social media (paid, owned, earned), analytics, and technology.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to be a true storyteller.
