Sales Director - Nitinol Devices & Components - San Francisco

We are seeking a Sales Director to join our dynamic team of industry leading experts - who will participate in developing a sustainable business strategy that provides for profitable growth, and who will identify and implement key campaigns that will execute this strategy.
As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:
Have the ability to evaluate sales and financial goals, effectively developing and executing a plan to consistently achieve these goals.
Possess the skills to learn the customer’s organization and industry, structure, key decision makers and project assessment process, as well as their products, competitors and ways to provide alternative solutions.
Be able to reach key decision-makers and communicate effectively NDC benefits in terms relevant to the key decision makers; GM, VP of Finance / OPS / R&D, as well as senior R&D engineers – being capable of understanding and communicating effectively the benefits of utilizing NDC versus other contract manufacturers, as well as medical device in-source production.
Readily learn and be knowledgeable of the Nitinol product applications.
Be able to utilize proof sources and relevant data/information to successfully convey NDC solutions.
Be capable of thinking through a customer’s business and identifying NDC opportunities by intelligently asking probing questions to gather relevant information about a customer’s goals, plans and needs.
Positively handle customer indifference, concerns, skepticism and perceived NDC drawbacks.
Quickly and effectively develop rapport and build a trusting customer relationship.
Develop strong, supportive internal relationships across manufacturing, development, finance and other key positions.
Also develop an effective selling strategy whereby primary activities and resources are utilized on the highest potential projects, not allowing the job and distractions to divert focus from the high-value customers & projects.

Desired Skills and Experience
Education and experience requirements:
BA/BS and minimum of 5 years sales and/or marketing experience in a major medical device company or contract medical manufacturing company.
Ability to travel up to 60%.
Understanding of vascular surgical and interventional markets a plus.
