This position is a member of Cisco’s Supply Chain Technology and Quality Organization and will lead broad efforts in Supply Chain Software Quality. This Director will develop and implement a strategic plan to ensure delivery of quality software for embedded and standalone software products.
Roles & responsibilities:
• Accountable for establishing quality specifications as well as software quality performance measurements.
• Accountable to measure software quality performance as well as risk.
• Accountable to drive product level quality metrics and proactively prevent business and customer impacts due to poor quality.
• Accountable for developing, driving and executing software quality release processes in partnership with engineering and other organizations.
• Provides necessary definition, development and deployment of 3rd party software vendor quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development.
• Drives supplier quality process, tool and documentation for 3rd party software vendors
• Build a strong organization with leadership bench strength, capabilities for the future, engagement and Cisco culture
• Work closely with other functions in Supply Chain Operations to drive a high quality product culture, engineering talent development, and generally support business enablement
Skill required
• 15+ years of Software Quality Management
• Strong technical knowledge of various software development and delivery models.
• Strong first hand technical knowledge of software quality methods
• Ability to operate in a cross functional, dynamic, global environment
• Ability to drive change in support of enterprise wide initiatives
• Ability to develop and execute short, mid, and long term strategies in support of business needs
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Strong collaborative management and leadership skills
• Ability to influence cross functionally
• Ability to build, connect, and nurture world-class teams
• Proven track record of building organizational and process capabilities in support of a large, global enterprise
• B.S. and M.S. in Engineering or Computer Science
• Fluent in English.
