Director - Product Marketing - Verimatrix - San Diego


Job description
Verimatrix is actively seeking a Director, Product Marketing based out of the company headquarters in San Diego, California.
This key leadership role in the marketing team encompasses the day to day management of a wide range of outbound marketing and sales enablement activities – as well as offering the opportunity to define new initiatives that will help take the company into new phases of growth. Responsibilities will range from tactical support to highly strategic projects – and will often be executed in conjunction with other members of the core marketing and product management teams.
Responsibilities can be broadly grouped into Market Analysis, Quantitative Analysis, Product Strategy, Product Planning, Program Strategy, Sales Readiness and Channel Support, to include the following:

Delivery of core product and service collateral resources – including solution and product descriptions in various forms that act as effective sales tools across the range of company and partner touch points.
Maintenance of the online resource library leveraged by direct and indirect sales channels and interfacing with other teams in the company that might draw on these resources.
Manage the company online presence in terms of web, email and social media capabilities.
Lead programs to enhance and extend a toolset that underpins marketing and sales effectiveness across all aspects of the business front line. This includes the use of CRM, marketing automation, contact data management and pricelist maintenance tools.
Develop and execute compelling internal and external communications to create a regular update channel across our company, partners, customers and other stakeholders.
Manage regular updates to market analysis and competitive profile material as a resource for marketing, sales and executive initiatives, including reporting and presenting information from our internal tools related to marketing ROI.

Desired Skills and Experience
Broad knowledge of the digital media and pay-TV industry including content value chain, digital video broadcast systems implementing cable, satellite, terrestrial and IP video distribution systems, and related technology standards.
Knowledge of the content security industry and CA/DRM principles is a must, together with a broad understanding of the competitive landscape.
Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills are most essential, especially written English.
Broad experience of online tools for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing Automation, e.g. Sales Force, Act-On, and LinkedIn Professional.
Project management experience coupled with demonstrated systematic approach to managing cross functional activities, partner and marketing challenges.
BS degree in related field; MS preferred.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice and ability to be away from home for up to two weeks at a time.
Foreign language skills a plus: Spanish, French, German, Portuguese or Russian.
Preferred Skills
Direct work experience from the CA/DRM industry in technical and/or commercial positions, or indirectly by work experience with a pay-TV operator.
