Position Summary
The Director of Product Management is responsible for driving the product vision, product strategy, and product build to create a suite of new celebrity based product lines by working to create new, exciting digital products and services. This passionate, hands-on individual will both lead large interactive projects and manage and mentor a growing staff of Product Managers.

Responsibilities
- Own the build plan, product requirement definition, feature identification and performance of new properties
- Work closely with engineering, design, and UX teams in collaborative, real time environment using prototypes to test and optimize product assumptions
- Lead discovery process on new engagements through market and competitive analysis, scoping tasks and duration, and defining requirements and success metrics
- Manage product management team on multi-million dollar digital properties
- Serve as the main product representative in client interface on projects, clarify strategic requirements, explain complex ideas clearly, and manage expectations on scope

- Communicate vision for the project and involve people at the optimal levels for project success
- Lead meetings with senior clients and stakeholders
- Ensure all deliverables are of the highest quality
- Work in an independent fashion, solve problems, make decisions, and communicate effectively in difficult situations
- Be a passionate about delivering the best creative, but find ways of producing it that does not jeopardize schedule and budget
- Play a dual role of client advocate and Whalerock team advocate
- Assist in training of Product Managers on best practice methodology and PM skills
- Participate in the development of new business
- Create new ideas for products, content, games and advertising solutions.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- Prior experience (6-10 years) as a senior product lead, senior interactive producer, or directly related experience
- Strong knowledge of web development technologies and quality assurance processes
- Demonstrated experience running large digital properties or large engagements with Fortune 500 clients or equivalent experience
- Effective presentation and communication skills as evidenced by ability to develop presentations and speak to large audiences including senior level clients
- Familiarity with digital project types: websites, mobile applications, iPad / tablet implementations, IAB advertising implementations
