Director - Technical Operations - KIXEYE - San Francisco
Job description
The Director of Technical Operations will have excellent technical and communications skills, and will have proven his / her ability to assemble and lead a team of rockstar engineers who make key architectural decisions that ensure our products are delivered successfully to our customers. He / she will have applied knowledge and insights across multiple business units in a top-tier consumer Internet company. He / she will produce insights, propose solutions to challenging problems, and help make the games more fun, engaging, and profitable.

• Develop goals, initiatives, strategies and drive actions in all functional areas under technical operations including Systems engineering, reliability, release engineering, database engineering, IT, and dev ops.
• Create and effectively use performance measurements to quantify and benchmark personal performance, technology productivity, effectiveness, and customer service tools.
• Manage and grow a high performing operations team.
• Create an engineering atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork, organization and professional development.
• Meet regularly with Executive team to define service goals, objectives and metrics, ensuring clear alignment in and around engineering efforts.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you bring to the role:
• 5+ years of experience in leading technical operations teams and a proven track record of successfully supporting off-site operations and managing cross-functional business units.
• Demonstrated achievements in implementing and operating multiple technology environments in a radically growing organization.
• Deep, strategic knowledge of the current technology landscape, particularly trends and emergent developments in hosting, networking, systems, storage and other relevant hardware and software
• A demonstrate ability to influence groups outside of the technical operations environment.
• A strong understanding of statistical methods and real world applications.
• A passion for consumer Internet, mobile, and/or games.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a high technology field; A Master’s or Advanced Technology degree is a plus.
