Summary of Responsibilities:
The Head of Investor Relations develops, directs, and executes Santander’s investor relations programs to effectively communicate the company’s strategy, financial performance and products. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, able to adapt to a fast-paced environment, offer innovative solutions and will have proven verbal and written communication skills. The Head of Investor Relations will partner closely with senior management, internal legal counsel, corporate communications, and finance and key business areas across the organization.


Essential Functions:
Develops, implements and executes the strategic plans for investor relations
Serve as a key company spokesperson to the financial community by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with analysts and investors.
Creates strategic communications goals to develop and prepare all communications and activities directed to the investment community
Maintain a comprehensive targeting dashboard to track current and prospective investor interest, activity, engagement, and conversion.
Leads the collection and analysis on all investor relations activities for presentations to senior management
Tracks, analyses and maintains an in-depth understanding of valuation models to evaluate the company’s performance
Monitors and assesses changes and trends of Company stock, market and industry
Performs a comprehensive competitive analysis, including financial metrics and differentiation of peer group
Provides ongoing feedback and insight to senior management regarding the effectiveness of the overall investor relations program
Monitors compliance with all applicable regulatory disclosure requirements and implements best practices for IR
Collaborates with other departments ensure all associated financial reports are provided for investor communications and regulatory agencies
Supports the professional development of the IR team

Performs other duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting or related field required; MBA or CFA preferred
Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in investor relations role
Minimum of five (5) years’ management experience
Strong understanding of investment financial models, equity markets, corporate financials and regulatory environment
Experience in establishing and building investor relations and marketing infrastructure to support future investor growth
In-depth understanding of strategic communication, public relations, marketing and advertising
Outstanding interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills with the ability to convey company strategy and messaging
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to initiate, build and maintain relationships
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent presentation (verbal and written) skills
Must be self-directed with ability to multi-task and prioritize
Proficient in MSOffice
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to adapt to a dynamic evolving business environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality


Working Conditions:
Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs.
Travel to multiple facilities may be required.
May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
Corporate / satellite office role.
