Director - Florist Marketing - Teleflora - Los Angeles


Job description
Teleflora seeks an experienced B2B marketing professional to lead our Florist Marketing team. The director will oversee and be directly responsible for developing B2B marketing and communications for our network of 14,000 florists. This position reports to the Vice President of Partnership and Florist Marketing and has multiple direct reports.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and optimize all florist communication vehicles to effectively communicate programs, products and services
Supervise development and distribution of newsletters, e-mails and other marketing communication materials to current (florist) customers. Assist in development and use of webinars.
Lead development of strategic marketing plans for new or existing products/services through market research, competitive analysis, customer engagement and internal collaboration.
Work closely and proactively with the sales team, support, project management and QA to develop marketing materials, sales tools, trade show materials and training materials. Develop measurement tools and report on performance of marketing programs. Recommend new approaches to improve sales of various products

Oversee and manage team responsible for production of marketing materials with in-house creative agency and outside resources including product documentation, marketing collateral and internal training materials.
Management of online vehicles including our florist portal and B2B social media channels.
Conduct and analyze marketing research including florist satisfaction research, new product development research, and competitive technology research.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure cross-departmental approvals and buy in
Develop and monitor budget for assigned area of responsibility.
Manage multiple direct reports

Desired Skills and Experience
5+ years experience in B2B marketing
Previous ad agency experience preferred
Experience in technology marketing a plus
Strong analytical skills
Experience managing multiple direct reports
Previous budgeting or P&L responsibilities
Strong leadership, project management and communication skills
Ability to align tactical activity with strategic initiatives
Easily grasp technical concepts and can communicate them to non-technical people
Proven self-starter and team player
Excel at managing multiple projects concurrently to timelines and budget
Possess strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Ability to make decisions with little direction
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
Must display a strong desire to achieve and maintain high levels of both internal and external customer satisfaction.
