Director - Analytics and Data Science - ipsy - San Mateo

Job description
ipsy is looking for a brilliant Director of Analytics and Data Science to communicate our analytics cross-departmentally to help strategize business strategy, and to drive our KPI improvements by developing and implementing A/B testing.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with leaders of business, marketing, engineering, growth, retention, merchandising and product to help drive their understanding of the key drivers of the business
Develop standardized reporting to help inform business decisions as well as partner on ad hoc reports
Collaborate with engineering and product to build predictive models that are used by Product, Merchandising, Growth and Marketing teams
Devise and run A/B tests to directly and indirectly drive KPI improvements
Be the company advocate for utilizing statistical data in an accurate and consistent manner across all departments and levels of the organization


Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
Team player and strong communicator across multiple stakeholders
Quantitative Degree – like Statistics, Operations Research, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, etc. MS/PhD preferred
5-7 years of demonstrated success in data science, engineering, and/or business analytics, including managing teams with proven project management experience
Expertise in Excel, SQL, Pentaho, Google Analytics, Data warehouse skills and other BI tools
Exposure to scripting languages, statistical packages and A-B testing
Experience with building/leading teams
