The Creative Director develops, inspires and leads the creative teams responsible for innovative and engaging content in promotion of TeenNick and NickMom. Responsible for the creative and editorial oversight and execution of all assigned projects.
Responsibilities
Ensures that creative and promotional plans are effective and deliver upon creative strategies while within budget and time parameters
Leads and oversees a forward thinking creative team comprised of Editorial Directors, Senior Producers, Supervising Producers, Producers, AP’s and PA’s who focus on delivering breakthrough creative in all formats, from tune-in to short-form content (inclusive of creative within branded blocks and programming destinations)
Collaborates with key, cross-functional partners to coordinate creative plans across all platforms
Partners closely with digital and social media teams to effectively engage the teen and adult audience across all platforms
Creates a culture that places a premium on ideas, creativity and innovation to stimulate original thinking and output.
Brings new thinking and influences to the group
Ensures that all contributions from the creative team are valued and fosters overall team career growth
Responsible for finding and building working relationships with new creative and production vendors, as well as strengthening partnerships with current vendors
Desired Skills and Experience
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of brand communication experience in on-air promos, advertising, digital, and/or brand consulting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – and the ability to sell ideas and stories to audiences ranging from kids in our audience to senior executives in our company
Superior conceptual and critical thinking abilities
Additional Qualifications
Proven ability to translate strategic goals into best-in-class creative
Innovative creative leader and tastemaker with ability to communicate vision to creative team to execute (overseeing multiple projects from inspiration to final delivery)
Strong, mature communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work with executives at all levels in both the business and creative communities, inside and outside the organization
Deep understanding of teen and adult audience trends in all social media and digital spaces
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment and remain levelheaded and calm under stress
Team player and flexible to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities
Ability to provide articulate and effective creative notes and other feedback
Motivated to develop, teach, mentor and energize/inspire teams on a daily basis
Ability to embrace constructive feedback
