Strategic Marketing Director - Honeywell - New York


Job description
We are searching for a Strategic Marketing Director to work closely with a small team of corporate strategy and marketing professionals on various corporate and business unit projects including strategic sales and marketing initiatives, business development opportunities, and portfolio assessments.


The successful candidate will interact frequently with the senior management team including the Vice President of Strategy and Marketing, as well as business and functional leaders from various businesses. S/he is an excellent broad-based business thinker who can collaborate effectively with other functional leaders as well as senior business line leaders.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support acquisition and business development opportunities with respective strategic business unit (SBU) counterparts.
• Collaborate with a variety of different financial and legal resources of the organization.
• Define and fine-tune strategy and strategic options of the company in order to strengthen the overall business portfolio.
• Identify and evaluate new markets and new or cross SBU business opportunities
• Prepare business cases based on expected value creation coming from the opportunities

Desired Skills and Experience
Basic Qualifications:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Consulting / Project Management: 5+ years' experience leading strategic planning, growth initiative, and operational enhancement engagements with large clients in diverse technology or manufacturing-driven industries.

Additional Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical discipline preferred
• Excellent project management skills.
• Proven capacity to be effective in a complex, global business environment.
• Ability to forge solid relationships and manage across a broad and geographically-dispersed business.
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical, business planning and problem solving skills.
• Ability to identify issues, requirements and opportunities for improvement.
