IT Director - Risk and Compliance - Zurich North America - Schaumburg
Job description
Zurich North America is currently hiring an IT Risk and Compliance Director for our North America Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
The IT Director will support key Information Technology ("IT") governance, risk, and compliance projects and messaging throughout the organization. He or she will manage the local team at Zurich North America responsible for these areas as well as interact with a global network of Chief Information Security Office resources and IT Governance, Risk and Compliance professionals to deliver highest quality efforts. This person will report to the Americas IT Global Risk and Compliance Lead.
The primary responsibilities of this role will include supporting IT stakeholders during the planning and subsequent phases of audits, examinations, and assessments, as well as during the audit close-out process. The IT Director will support IT Global Risk and Compliance projects, annual Sarbanes-Oxley IT SOX and other compliance testing exercises, and contribute to the information security compliance program.
Required Qualifications -
Minimum 5-10 years professional experience including 3+ years in audit, risk management, governance, IT security and / or compliance functions.
3 years working in the area of SOX compliance.
Strong understanding of IT systems security and IT security assessments.
Knowledge of control frameworks such as CobiT, PCI, ISF, and ISO 2700x.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Computer Science or a related field.
At least once certification such as CISSP, CISM, CRisk, and/or CISA.
Knowledge of IT GRC automation tools such as RSA/Archer Suite.
Proven experience dealing with ambiguous situations, and producing a consistent result with varied input.
Demonstrated capability to learn and adapt to new situations and requirements.
Strong project management skills.
Experience managing local staff and teams as well as project-based, virtual, distributed teams.
Experience with working across business unit and geographical boundaries to engage team members.
Written personal recommendations from peers and those in the management chain upon request.
Demonstrate success in delivering solutions targeted to business owner expectations both technical and non-technical in nature.
Preferred Qualifications -
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience in the insurance industry or financial services industry is preferred.
