Baker Tilly is seeking a Director to contribute to the growth of our Valuation Consulting Services team. The Valuation Consulting Services team covers business valuations for matrimonial settlements, estate tax purposes, gift planning, shareholder disputes, buy/sell agreements, and complex forensic accounting projects. In this role, you would identify intangible assets, determining and supporting fair values for acquired assets, formulating tax valuations and related consulting in accordance with the regulations and guidance established by taxing authorities and providing and defending reporting valuations for clients across a number of industries.


Responsibilties:

Provide business valuations services for matrimonial settlements, estate tax purposes, gift planning, shareholder disputes, buy/sell agreements, and complex forensic accounting projects
Interact regularly with client representatives, attorneys, and government officials
Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service.
Expand the valuations services segment by participation in initiatives to identify business opportunities and generate revenue growth
Supervise and lead the staff through counsel, guidance and coaching. Evaluate performance on client engagements.
Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally.
Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards.

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related program; Master's Degree or other advanced degree a plus
CPA, ABV, CFF, and/or CFE required
Ten (10) plus years of experience in business valuation, matrimonial forensics, damage calculations and related services in a professional services environment
Demonstrated leadership, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills required
Ability to provide exceptional client service, research and resolve issues, demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality
Proven experience developing a practice through business development initiatives
