As a key member of the Corporate Accounting team, this position is responsible for the management and integrity of the revenue and cost of revenue process and related financial and management reporting functions worldwide
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to the revenue and cost of revenue functions
Design, implement and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures and controls (“SOX-like”)
Review SaaS revenue arrangements to ensure compliance with customer and revenue recognition policies and procedures. Work closely with sales and operational teams to efficiently process and monitor customer contracts and renewals
Provide technical accounting expertise on the treatment of revenue and cost of revenue transactions and related financial reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with SaaS revenue recognition, including proper recognition under the Revenue Arrangements with Multiple Deliverables standard
Prepare revenue and deferred revenue analysis of actuals
Assist the FP&A team with variance analysis and forecasts
Manage the monthly revenue and cost of revenue close process (calendar, reviews, reconciliations, reporting)
“Own” the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of the order-to-cash process
Assist with the production and preparation of the Company’s consolidated financial statements
Design, implement and maintain revenue and cost of revenue metrics, reports and reconciliation's
Design, implement and maintain informative financial results reports to meet the needs of the business
Provide analysis on financial results (customer, margins, trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Evaluate the revenue and cost of revenue accounting and financial reporting impact of operational decisions
Develop financial systems solutions and requirements for new applications or enhancements
Assist finance and the operating business units with revenue and cost of revenue related matters
Assist with the execution of year-end financial audits
Drive to continuously improve the revenue and cost of revenue reporting process
Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Coach and develop the accounting staff

Qualifications:
Degree in accounting or finance
CPA
Minimum of seven years of experience in accounting related functions
Minimum of five years managing an accounting staff
SaaS or related industries experience
Accounting experience in a multi-country/currency or publicly-traded company preferred
Experience in Order-To-Cash processes (customer setup, order processing, service delivery, billing, collections)
Strong financial systems background (NetSuite, SalesForce.com, customer billing)
Ability to mine, manipulate and analyze large quantities of data (Excel, Access, SQL)
Ability to manage in a fast paced and changing environment
Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Ability to write and document accounting processes
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with senior and functional department managers
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Strong time management and organizational skills
